Summer Job as Acting Judge in Gotland

Perhaps you have a connection to the island, a summer cottage or similar, and want to spend more time in Gotland while having the opportunity to work with us at the Gotland District Court during the summer period. Job Responsibilities

As an acting judge at Gotland District Court, you will handle all types of cases and matters. Being an acting judge means you perform qualified legal work, which is very interesting and varied. No day is the same, and the work is both free and responsible. At the court, judges, clerks, and court administrators work together and take joint responsibility for ensuring that cases and matters are resolved efficiently and fairly. Our operations are characterized by quality, efficiency, and a pleasant working environment.

Qualifications

The work as a judge places high demands on legal skills, judgment, teamwork ability, and independence.

You should have the willingness and ability to contribute to the court meeting high standards of quality and efficiency. It is important to be flexible and solution-oriented, have an easy time collaborating, and contribute to a pleasant workplace.

To be considered for the position, you must have experience working as a member or clerk in a court of appeal or have performed the duties of a court clerk for at least six months. It is an advantage if you are or have been a regular judge or court of appeal assessor/administrative court assessor.

About Gotland District Court

Gotland District Court is one of the smaller district courts in the country, which shapes the organization and daily work. The court is a pleasant workplace with about 15 competent and engaged employees. The workplace is characterized by openness, collaboration, and shared responsibility. The operations are currently conducted in culturally protected premises in central Visby.

Additional Information

The position is a fixed-term employment agreement by mutual agreement, full-time, with a start date as agreed.
